Elizabeth Carll, the chair of the Interactive Media Committee of the Media Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association, presents an idea of how to overcome playing violent video games excessively and how to aviod aggressive behavior to Senator Brownback. She presents data suggesting that exposure to violent video games increases aggressive behavior, aggressive thoughts, angry feelings, physiological arousal and decreases helpful behavior. She also presents research that shows that the most popular video games today contain violence and aggression. She suggests that the rating system become more specific, as to be informed more clearly the content of the video game.
