Violent Video Games Cause Aggression

Anderson, Craig A. "Violent Video Games Cause Aggression." Greenhaven Press, 2010. Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center. Web. 15 Mar. 2010

Craig Anderson, a psychologist with an extensive background in media violence, presents and expert opinion in a court case held in the United States District Court in Illinois. Anderson shares research collected about the effects of media violence compared to the effects of video game violence. He concludes that exposure to video games violence is more detrimental than exposure to media violence. This is due to the intense interactivity used in video games, while media violence only requires slight participation on the part of the viewer.
