Playing Video Games Causes Poor Grades

Chan, Philip A. and Rabinowitz, Terry. "Playing Video Games Causes Poor Grades." Annals of General Psychiatry 5 (2006): 1-2, 4-5, 10. Opposing Viewpoints Research Center (Gale). Web. 11 Mar. 2010.

Philip A. Chan and Terry Rabinowitz, both of whom contribute to Annals of General Psychiatry, predicted that excessive video game playing causes ADHD, poor grades in school, and negative changes in social behaviors. They found through their study that playing video games for more than an hour a day will do just that. People tested in their research had a higher chance of ADHD, poor grades, and negative social behaviors (such as aggression or withdrawal) if they played excessive video games.
