This articles is a background resource written by Henry Jenkins, a former professor and director of comparative studies at MIT, argues against what he calls myths about video games. Jenkins uses other sources such as experts and findings from studies to support his claims.He argues that video games cannot be blamed for violent behavior or outbursts and that they do not cause people to become more aggressive. Jenkins also says that video games are not desensitizing or socially isolating or detrimental, but that they actually help people, especially children to understand that their actions have consequences and that playing video games with other people helps build relationships and improve communication.
